Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate offers a wide range of hospital services.

The hospital has recently benefitted from a major development and refurbishment programme, with new facilities including a state-of-the-art cancer centre, an additional operating theatre, new children's ward, new special care baby unit and outpatients building. The Maternity Department has also been refurbished with extra facilities.

The hospital is home to a state-of-the-art heart centre, containing a £3.6 million operating theatre for specialist diagnostic procedures and up-to-date facilities for the hospital's Cardiology Department.

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals serving a local population of around 720,500 people.
