St David’s Station is Exeter’s main Station. It is located on Bonhay Road which is on the outskirts of the City so for onward travel into the City Centre local train, taxi or bus would be recommended. All platform at this station are accessible for wheelchair users, people with mobility impairments, parents with pushchairs and people with large luggage.


St David’s Station has 6 platforms.  Platforms 1 and 2 are together and are accessed step free from the station concourse.  Platforms 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 are accessible via a footbridge with a choice of a lift or steps.

Ticket Office

The Ticket Office is situated within a small concourse at the Main entrance. There are 5 service windows with a small maze queuing system. There are 2 ticket machines offering cash and or card payment methods.

The route to the platforms is via a ticket barrier, the barrier is manned and has an accessible side gate. There is a cash machine at accessible height in the wall just outside the entrance into the Station.

Exeter St David’s is manned 24 hours a day. The ticket office is open between 05:45 and 20:40 Monday to Friday and 06:15 to 20:00 on Sunday. Pre-booked tickets can be collected during ticket office opening hours.

Arriving and Departing the Station

Exeter St David’s Station has 1 main entrance on Bonhay Road. There is a pay and display car park on level access directly outside with 7 designated accessible parking spaces. It is possible to drop off directly outside the entrance. Taxis and Buses pull up in a rank again directly outside the Station entrance.

Additional Information

Platforms 1and 2 provide a Ladies and Gents Toilets and a Unisex Accessible Toilet with Baby Changing Facilities.

Platforms 5 and 6 provide a Ladies and Gents toilets a designated information/waiting room with accessible toilet facilities. The waiting room also has an accessible desk fitted with an induction loop. Entry into the waiting room is via a power assisted button push door.
